Hi GiantWaffle I'm just going to stick my nose in for a minute --- I use FC mostly on XP 32-bit and I don't have any problem with my caps getting stripped out when I zip folders and files. I've let the packer use the existing name, and applied a new name, and haven't had this happen. I haven't used...

Back to the Caps Thing
To the author of FC. Please, please, please, do not take any of this as me being rude and please, note the smilies and know that all of this is said with a great love of your product and only with the idea of trying to help make it even better! Not that I have the ability to do that, but just from a...

Mine looks like this (color switch is automatic): As for the zip related issue...I guess it really is annoying for you. First of all, thank you for going through the trouble of making that screen hot for me. I appreciate your kindness. :) However (you knew that was coming), I really don't pay that ...

Can't you just make the background folder path of the active panel a different color? No. Any color you set is going to be that color in that pane all the time and when you switch to the other pane, it is whatever color it is. The colors are set, even if you make the two panes two different colors....

Like granny wrote on Page 7 of his guide you can define different colours for left and right panel but not for active/inactive. Notes --- Tree and File List can have completely different settings. You can even manually edit the INI file to have different settings in left and right panes! freecomman...

Yes, it is possible. Check this quide from granny: http://forum.freecommander.com/viewtopic.php?t=2053 Thanks for providing the document. I did go through it, but saw nothing that would handle what I was looking for. I just wanted to make the active panel a different color, but I saw no setting for...

Some keyboard shortcuts can be changed in Settings, the rest - almost all shortcuts can be changed in Keyboard shortcuts (menu > Extras > Keyboard shortcuts). Now how did I miss that!!! :) Hey, let me ask you something while I have you. :) I noticed that when viewing folders in column mode, not all...

Color Configuration
I don't see any way to change the colors in the background. I don't see any way to do that and it says the help file is missing, so I can't look there. :) All I see is like an individual folder line and stuff like that. There is a background color for "Flat View", whatever that is, but whe...

I know. I said, "mine doesn't show the build number". So where does yours show it?joby_toss wrote:The version number is 2009.02 and the build number is 405.
Btw, is there a problem with the help file? It says it's not found.

Might be, but how do we know? Maybe if other users chimed in?joby_toss wrote:The version number is 2009.02 and the build number is 405.
FC doesn't officially support 64 bit Windows so this might be your problem.

This does not happen for me. Don't know what may go wrong in your case. FC 2009.02.405 on WinXPProSp3 x86 I can't explain it then either. But it does happen every time. Interestingly, mine doesn't give me a build number as yours does and I have mine downloaded again from just two days ago. Mine jus...

Thanks!
Other than wishing I had a 64 bit version I could use under XP64, I am really enjoying the program! Thanks!
