I use FC mostly on XP 32-bit and I don't have any problem with my caps getting stripped out when I zip folders and files. I've let the packer use the existing name, and applied a new name, and haven't had this happen.

No. Any color you set is going to be that color in that pane all the time and when you switch to the other pane, it is whatever color it is. The colors are set, even if you make the two panes two different ...

Like granny wrote on Page 7 of his guide you can define different colours for left and right panel but not for active/inactive.

Tree and File List can have completely different settings. You can even manually edit the INI file to have different settings in left and right panes ...

Actually, that makes both panels that color, not just the active one.

Some keyboard shortcuts can be changed in Settings, the rest - almost all shortcuts can be changed in Keyboard shortcuts (menu > Extras > Keyboard shortcuts).

FC doesn't officially support 64 bit Windows so this might be your problem.

Don't know what may go wrong in your case.
