Hi, I see this is an old thread - I'm seeing the same symptoms as Geoff did back in 2007.
I use Windows XP, with all the latest service packs & updates, I have no particularly enormous zip files that I'm aware of (certainly not in any folders that I frequently start FC in), I don't use the tree ...
