I agree but the user should be able to chose between the actuel drive bar and the new one with a setting in the program options

Instead of firt open a new and then chose the drive, it would be faster to open a new tab for a drive letter when CTRL-clicking on a drive letter on the drive bar

I'm a fan of using multiple tabs.
I offen copy tabs from one panel to the other using right-clic / Copy tab to other panel, it would be faster to simply Drag-and-Drop the tab to the other side.
The Drag-and-Drop can be used to move tabs in order to sort them, on the same side.
