Thanks for all the great support. Since I really had almost no customizations in use I just went ahead and deleted FC, cleaned up the registry and HDD and did a re-install. So far, so good.
If the issue shows up again I will be sure and post.
Again, i really appreciate all of the help.

I tried to run the /N /NewIni=FreeCommanderTest.ini /NoPlugins /Lng=English but I have no idea of how to run it on my PC - are there more complete instructions available?

FC not showing files in some folder
I'm using FC 2009.02 on a Vista machine.
For some reason FC does not always show the files in a directory. Some directories work fine, others don't. The failing directory show no files under the Details, List, Small Icon or Large Icon views but will show the files when Thumbnail view is selected ...
