Re: Odd behavior with Quick Viewer identifying file types
Thanks for the reply. I've now removed "xml" from the file types treated as "Internet" so that other XML files (such as *.proj and *.config) are not shown in the browser.
It seems a little odd that the presence of a BOM triggers FreeCommander to treat the file as RTF, as many different file types ...

Odd behavior with Quick Viewer identifying file types
I have an odd issue when searching for text through all csproj files (XML files for MSBuild) within a directory tree.
In the search results I select a csproj file and press Ctrl+q to view the matching text in the file. This works fine when the file has a byte-order marker (BOM) and the matching ...

Permanent file exclusion when searching?
When using the "Search files/folders" dialog, I almost always want to exclude searching in certain files, e.g., *.exe;*.dll;*.obj;*.zip, many hundreds of which exist in our source tree.

Re: Inconsistent file quoting in main window vs search resul
In case others run into the same problem, the following short program (C#, built as a Windows app) can be used as a work around. After compiling, I register it with FreeCommander as the program to be invoked when pressing F4. The program fixes up any inconsistency in the arg list prior to invoking ...

The search results window has an option "advanced mode". What exactly does this do?

Search results - default sort order?
When I use the "Search files/folders" window, the search results are sorted in reverse alphabetical order. I realize I can click the Name column to switch it to alphabetical order, but is there any way to configure it to always sort the results in alphabetical order?
Thanks,
John.

If I invoke FreeCommander from the command line as follows:
FreeCommander.exe /C /T /R=C:\Windows\
.. the folder is displayed in the right pane (as expected), but pressing Backspace (or clicking the two dots) to move up a folder has no effect.

601 - cannot set item colors
If I bring up the Settings dialog and specify colors for some file types, that works fine. However, if I bring up the Settings dialog a second time and try to set some more colors for different file types, it has no effect. Bringing up the dialog again shows the first set of colors; the second set ...
