Re: Function bar - can't reset shortcut keys
The remove button is how I deleted the shortcuts, enabling the default button to become active. However, if I had previously changed a default shortcut to another shortcut, saved and closed the window, then reopened the keyboard shortcuts later and used the remove button to delete it, I encountered ...

Have the Keyboard shortcuts Defaults button only change item highlighted
I changed some keyboard shortcuts and couldn't get them to go back to default, The way the interaction went I think could be improved. I could only activate the Defaults button if I had an item selected and then deleted the shortcut with the Remove button. When I clicked on the Defaults button, it c...

Function bar - can't reset shortcut keys
I can't get shortcuts to return to their defaults after I changed two of them in the functions bar. I reset them using the Defaults button and saved the changes but they didn't take. I can go back into Settings>Define keyboard shortcuts.. and the shortcuts will have returned to the non-default ones ...

Re: Add txt file to "New item" menu button
For anyone coming along later - This thread https://freecommander.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12282 solved the problem for me and put the text file into the menu as I wanted. Marek posts a file to add txt files to the right-click context menu which Windows 11 seems to have made some changes on and onc...

Re: Add txt file to "New item" menu button
I have been using the left and right toolbars and splitter like you suggested and it works very well. I haven't created any hotkeys yet so may give that a try.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Add txt file to "New item" menu button
I ended up doing as you suggested. What I wanted to avoid though was that it adds an arrow to the side of the icon making it take up more space which is never enough on a laptop. Since I had to have the arrow anyway, I added a few more items to the menu that I use from time to time for quick access....

Yes, that would work. Thank you for the suggestion.

Re: Ability to edit built-in menus
I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I found the way to do it as you described. But it puts an arrow beside the icon taking up valuable real estate on my laptop screen and I was trying to avoid that.
I was hoping to be able to edit the menu items as they exist by default.
Thanks.

Ability to edit built-in menus
In the address bar, I have the systems folder. Is it possible to edit that? If you could edit what these default items contain, it would be nice. Maybe there already is and I don't know how.
Thanks

Indicate an action has taken place when using mouse shortcuts
Mouse shortcuts - Right-click context menu. Can you add an indicator of an action having taken place? I have an area of the filename set to copy the path and another to copy the name, etc. I forget which action just took place so it would be nice if a tool tip would pop up indicating what you've don...

Add txt file to "New item" menu button
I've got the "New item" menu button on the address bar. Can you include inside it new txt file?
I suppose the google docs and word documents were added by my PC. Is it possible that we can edit these menus ourselves?
Thanks

Re: Make CTRL + X / V keyboard shortcut use FC instead of Windows' manager [SOLVED]
Ok.. something strange has happened. I have Teracopy set to prompt on filename collision. It has stopped doing so and means it's not FC. I can use Teracopy in file explorer or in its GUI and it won't bring up the prompt anymore. It used to and what your image shows it what I used to see. It just hap...

Re: Make CTRL + X / V keyboard shortcut use FC instead of Windows' manager [SOLVED]
I used the entries from this thread in FC to have teracopy as the file handler whenever I copy or move. But is there a parameter for the command line that will make teracopy ask me what I want to do if there's already a copy in the destination folder? Currently, it appends "- Copy" and I'd...
