Thanks for the responses, I don't know whats going on but I reinstalled build 840 so I could try suggestions and everything is working as it should. I do see the red line flash momentarily (but it's always done that). Lets see if it lasts, maybe it has something to do with the directories i'm trying ...

Any one else had a problem with trying to use dual panels with build 840 public? Every time I try it hangs with a red line at the bottom of the single pane. It eventually comes up with the windows message stating Freecommander has stopped responding (stop/wait/search for a solution) going back to ...
