Re: Panels, Preview & Docking
You should set the Viewer to
"One viewer per panel"
"Use the opposite panel"
like this

Re: alt + f1(f2) doesn't work
Alt-F1 and Alt-F2 work fine here, as in Total Commander and others.
So there is no FC problem with it, at least not with the x64 version.
Try to run FC with a fresh setting.

Re: Triggering some programs with context menu sends them to background
Defender command line from my WinRAR config:
C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MpCmdRun.exe -Scan -ScanType 3 -File "%f"
This can be changed to FC and made as a Favorite toolbar entry.

Re: File Tagging : Tag Explorer
This app was last updated in 2016, long before the current Windows.
It's an Explorer add-on which can't work in FC.
There are other tools which can be used in any file manager.
Btw. why do you post in the old FC version forum ?

Re: Select which panel to open a favourite
There is an option "Use left/right panel"
which controls if the Activ/Passiv or the Left/Right pane is configured.

Re: QuickViewer slows down renaming
Basically, FC has no influence on the viewer behavior.
But I'm using ULister and SLister in Total Commander and FC
none of them has any delay renaming a file while it is previewed in the other window.

Re: Folder List built with a script
You make the error to not showing the path in your FC display. I use the Search columns profile for the container view. That's the result shown for searching all folders with the name pictures. Screenshot - 11.12.2023 , 09_39_26.png The path is displayed, so it's clear what every name means. The fil...

Re: Folder List built with a script
... Additionally file containers are nice, but you cannot give them names. so if you have two picture folders (eg. your own one in the profile and the public one) you have two entries with the same name. That's wrong, you can have as many file containers as you want. Each has its own name, of course.
