Re: alt + f1(f2) doesn't work

There is no such standard. If you disable all elements which display drives, there maybe no context entries shown for them. I agree, but I didn't say anything about standards. I was talking and thinking about familiarity and functionality, which is nice to have. Also, as it can be seen in the scree...

Re: alt + f1(f2) doesn't work

In the config I sent you both options are off. This is very confusing for the average user, like myself, because: - the program does not warn about the reduced familiar functionality when unchecking the two options; - the user ends up with a program that is visually similar with other orthodox file ...

Re: alt + f1(f2) doesn't work

When using old freecommander.ini, the menu is not accessible.
Removing FreeCommander.shc does not make a difference, since there are no shortcuts defined in it. The file is almost empty, only 2 lines.
There is something in freecommander.ini blocking the menu from appearing, but I don't know what yet.

Re: alt + f1(f2) doesn't work

Indeed, running FC with a fresh FreeCommander.ini makes the menu appear while using keyboard shortcuts.
There is something in my config that blocks the corresponding shortcuts, because I checked and they were correctly defined.

Re: alt + f1(f2) doesn't work

Using FreeCommander XE 2024 Build 901 32-bit public. I also am having problems with Alt+F1 and Alt+F2. But tis key combination works perfectly fine in Unreal Commander, Double Commander and Total Commander without me having to turn off anything in my system. I do not have Nvidia software installed, ...

Column hidden in Operations Queue

In the picture below, I have two network transfers in the queue. The column Running cannot be seen by default, probably because it is very narrow. Even if I adjust it with the mouse, when I release the left button it jumps right back being narrow and not visible. To be able to make this screenshot I...

Re: Multi-rename — String insertion

At the moment you can separate a given string and insert the new string there.
Isn't that what you are looking for?

Re: Delete to recycle bin

If it is not a bug, then it definitely is a very cumbersome way of implementing things :) If this option is not checked, items are deleted with the FreeCommander method. E.g. if a folder is deleted, the recycle bin shows every deleted file. For me this makes absolutely no sense. What is the practica...

Delete to recycle bin

Using build 880 on Windows 11. FC does not know how to properly delete directory trees to recycle bin using it's own method for deleting. Steps to reproduce: - set Tools > Settings > File/Folder operations > General > Delete > Use FreeCommander - delete a directory containing some sub-directories an...

Losing focus when connecting to network share

Attached screenshot displaying the problem: https://ibb.co/8jYzdbY I used FC to connect to a network share that needed name and password. The black window in the image above appeared asking for my credentials. Before I was finished typing, the semi-transparent white window appeared over it, stealing...

Re: Changing timestamp limitation

That would require a complete other logic, as there is no active selection in the target folder. I have no idea what you mean by that. The logic should be as in Total Commander Why would the logic be as in other software? Is FC a downstream clone that has to obey the rules made upstream, or is it a...
