Re: Constant CPU usage

Dreamer wrote: 18.06.2024, 22:16 Can't confirm in 910 and 901, perhaps it could be OS or antivirus, or other background operation.
Would an external background operation make FreeCommander look like it's consuming CPU?
Is there a FreeCommander setting that makes it perform some work in the background?

Constant CPU usage

I'm using FreeCommander XE 2024 Build 901 on Windows 10. Task Manager shows FreeCommander constantly using between 1% and 4% CPU even when the program is in the background idling not performing any tasks. What configuration setting or feature would cause this?

Re: Show drive GB used

Thanks, I didn't know about these options.
I tried adding [fc_sizeGBAll] and [fc_sizeOnDiskGBAll], but they are blank and 0.000.

The status bar shows the amount of free disk space (345.34 GB). Is there a way to show the amount of space used?
If I hover over the drive the tooltip shows the free disk space and total disk space. Maybe the used space should be here since the free space is already in the status bar?

Since the files that need changing are known before the rename operation starts, FreeCommander only needs to process the files that are ...

Slow Multi Rename

I selected many files in a directory to apply multi rename to. My pattern for replace ends up only applying to a few of the selected files, but the rename operation takes a long time--as if all files are processed even on those where no change to the filename is necessary. I would have thought this ...
